I have every item to my knowledge, but all the characters are gone, can't enter cave without someone, ekram wont talk to me, i have all the diary notes i think. I've clicked everything there is to click, don't know how to progress.

The only character I could find was ekram in the kinda basementy area of the chalet, but no others. Is my save corrupted?
